The El Galleon and El Bucancero are authentic 93 foot replicas of 18th century Spanish galleons, equipped with full modern day facilities; light and sound system, excellent kitchen with air conditioned dining areas, and clean bathrooms. So authentic are the Cancun Pirate Ships that they were used by the Bahamas Quincentennial Committee to reenact the landfall of Christopher Columbus at San Salvador.

Excellent food with choice of either lobster or steak accompanied by salads, vegetables and desert the food is excellent. Put together with the open bar all night then the food and drinks can be considered worth the tour price alone.

The Cancun Pirate Ship Tour departs from Playa Linda, which is at Km 4 and right next to the large observation tower, at 7.00pm seven days a week (check in time 6:30pm). You will be welcomed aboard by the Pirates and have an opportunity to have your photo taken with them.

Each ship, with capacity for 350 people, departs in different directions to cruise the bay area between Cancun and Isla Mujeres for the next few hours. The open bar commences just as soon as you board the boat and the party begins with silly games and crazy pirate antics.

Once you've had your meal you return to the deck where the party starts back up once again. Just when you least expect it, the other Pirate ship appears right next to the boat. Ahuge realistic sword fight then ensues between the Pirates of each boat, cheered on by the occupants of each of the pirate ships.

After the fight more drinks and partying and you are back at the dock for 10:30 which still leaves you time to head off to one of the Cancun nightclubs if you are so inclined.
